Monday night October 13 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “Illinois Classical” it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Berlioz’s “Harold in Italy”, Ravel’s “Noble and Sentimental Waltzes”, and Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun”.

Wednesday night October 1 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “Illinois Classical” you’ll hear Edward Gardner conduct the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra in Berlioz’s “Symphonie fantastique”. Also on the program Bartok’s “2nd Violin Concerto” with soloist Christian Tetzlaff.

Wednesday night October 23 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9FM/HD1 it’s the fourth program in a new series from the European Broadcasting Union. James Ehnes is the soloist in Saint-Saen’s “3rd Violin Concerto” and Sarasate’s “Carmen Fantasy” with the BBC Philharmonic.

Tuesday night October 1 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL, 90.9FM/HD1 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  Andras Schiff is the soloist in Dohnanyi’s “Variations on a Nursery Song” for piano and orchestra. Also on the program Del Tredici’s “Final Alice”.
