The Illinois Senate has approved a pilot project that lets participants in a Carle job-training program stay on state public assistance a little longer, so they can manage the transition from dependency to self-sufficiency.

A new training program for entry-level workers at Carle teaches more than technical job skills ---- it also teaches other skills useful in any workplace.
