The Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, William Adams, is in Champaign-Urbana today. He stopped by WILL to talk with Illinois Public Media's Amanda Honigfort about the role the humanities play in the United States and several initiatives the NEH is undertaking. 

The UI Trustees executive committee rejected a $400,000 bonus for outgoing chancellor Phyllis Wise, along with her resignation.  She'll be reassigned as an advisor to President Timothy Killeen, who tapped Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean Barbara Wilson to replace Wise as interim chancellor.
