Illinois State Police say Pendleton, of Bellflower, was found dead after a shootout in southern Illinois, in which an FBI SWAT team member was wounded. Pendleton had been wanted for shooting and wounding a police officer in Mahomet.

Mahomet village trustees are poised to endorse proposals that include local "right to work" zones and the exclusion of certain topics from collective bargaining.
