Wednesday night August 22 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  Recorded in March of this year you’ll hear the CSO Chorus and vocal soloists in Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”. Thursday night March 30 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra” led by guest conductor Osmo Vanska. You’ll hear Bernstein’s Overture to Candide and Berlioz’s “Symphonie fantastique”. Also on the program Joan Tower’s “A New Day” for cello and orchestra.

Thursday night January 5 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. You’ll hear Beethoven’s “Overture to Egmont” and Mendelssohn’s “3rd Symphony”, the ‘Scottish’. Osmo Vanska guest conducts. Also on the program Saariaho’s “Flute Concerto” with soloist Lorna McGhee.

Wednesday night June 15 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. Lorna McGhee is the soloist in Kaija Sarriaho’s “Flute Concerto”.
