We talked about the massive winter storm that hit Central Illinois and across the U.S. which brought heavy snow to some areas, freezing rain and sleet.

Thanks to this week's winter storm, highways from Chicago to Carbondale were covered with snow according to IDOT, and driving proved treacherous. Today on the show, we checked in with reporters who have been following the storm, a meteorologist and a climatologist. 

A major winter storm is disrupting transportation routes in parts of New England and the Midwest, after bringing snow and freezing rain to the areas.

A winter storm moving across the Midwest is forecast to bring as much as 6 to 8 inches of snow to east central Illinois on Wednesday.
