Illinois Public Health Workers Taking Precautionary Steps To Prevent Further Spread Of Coronavirus In U.S.

A deadly strain of coronavirus is spreading in China. Officials there have reported 17 deaths and more than 400 infected. 

The first case of coronavirus in the U.S., confirmed yesterday by the CDC in Washington state, has government officials taking steps to screen for the virus and prevent any further spread.

WILL health reporter Christine Herman joined us to explain what steps health officials are taking here in Illinois to prevent the spread, and what message they have for the public.
