New Year, New Illinois Laws

 

When the clock struck Midnight on the new year, more than 250 new laws took effect here in Illinois. 

You probably heard about some of the more high profile changes, including the legalization of marijuana for recreational use, or a rise in the minimum wage, but you might have missed some of the smaller laws that took effect. To track some of the other new laws that should be on your radar, we’re joined by Sam Dunklau from NPR Illinois and Amanda Vinicky, correspondent for WTTW’s Chicago Tonight.
