Getting an education behind bars has been shown to decrease recidivism and disruptive behavior. But in Illinois, that’s much easier said than done. 

And, for aging LGBT individuals, finding the right care can be daunting. A new workshop aims to give nurses the tools and education needed to care for elderly members of the queer community.  

But first, the ACLU of Illinois has filed a lawsuit against six police officers who mistakenly arrested a black Eastern Illinois University student while he was traveling with his swim team. We heard from him about how the whole experience has affected his life.
