Using Impeachment As A Teaching Tool

The Senate impeachment trial of President Trump is now in its second week. The trial is a historic one, Trump is just the third U.S. president to be impeached.
So, how are teachers in Illinois talking about this with their students, and using this historic moment as a teachable one?
Mary Ellen Daneels a National Board Certified Teacher and civics instructional specialist for the Illinois Civic Mission Coalition, Clinton Mathewson a secretary for the Illinois Council for Social Sciences, and teaches social studies at Farmington Central High School in Farmington, Illinois and Derek Cantu, a social studies teacher in Pana High School from Pana, Illinois all joined us.
