2020: A Year Without Corn Dogs

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Pritzker announced Friday that the Illinois State Fair in Springfield will be cancelled this year. The last time the state fair was cancelled was in 1945 during World War II, and before that was the Civil War.

For many of us, a year without the state fair means a year without some of our favorite state fair foods. The 21st talked with Ken Vose, the owner of Vose Concessions, whose corn dogs have been a staple at Illinois' state fairs for decades.

Ken Vose, owner of Vose Concessions.
