ACA Open Enrollment Ends Dec. 15

AARP

An estimated 14 million Americans – including workers and their dependents – lost health insurance coverage during the pandemic. Although those job losses may not be permanent, many people will need to enroll for coverage this year through the Affordable Care Act. Also known as “Obamacare,” it is meant to offer a variety of low-cost coverage plans for people without employer-based insurance. It does that through subsidized private health plans in federal and state marketplaces.

The 21st was joined by the executive director of Champaign County Health Care Consumers, which is an organization dedicated to quality affordable health care for all.
