Antibiotic Breakthrough: New research shows progress in drug resistance
Scientists at the University of Illinois Chicago have been researching a new antibiotic in partnership with scientists in China. They found this new class of medicine could make drug resistance nearly impossible.
The findings of the research were published last month in the scientific journal “Nature Chemical Biology.” A professor of biological sciences was part of the team conducting the study. He joins the program today to help make sense of these findings.
