The novel, The Ministy for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson explores the concept of "slow violence," our personal culpability in the climate crisis and how this pandemic may be a dress rehearsal for climate change. Winner of several literary awards including the Hugo Award for Best Novel, the Nebula Award for Best Novel and the World Fantasy Award. His work has been labeled by The Atlantic as "the gold-standard of realistic, and highly literary, science-fiction writing.” The 21st was joined by the author to talk about these points and more.
