Author Interview: Jason Diamond, ‘The Sprawl: Reconsidering the Weird American Suburbs’

There is a certain cache conveyed by saying one is from Chicago. The city of big shoulders, hog butcher to the world and all the rest. No one is writing like that about the suburbs — with their endless miles of identical houses, chain restaurants and big-box stores. Yet, most of us live in or are from suburban environments.

To talk more about the suburbs is Jason Diamond, the author of The Sprawl: Reconsidering the Weird American Suburbs.

Guest:

Jason Diamond, author of The Sprawl: Reconsidering the Weird American Suburbs and Searching for John Hughes.
