In 2020, shaking hands is out. And, if you’re following the rules in Illinois, so is holding events for more than 50 people. These measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus disease cut right into some of the most tried and true ways candidates for office seek to connect with voters.

The 21st explores what are candidates doing instead with just 125 days until the election.
