The Chicago Bears are reportedly still in search of a new home. While there was significant speculation about a potential move to Arlington Heights, especially after the team purchased and demolished the Arlington International Racecourse, it appears the team’s focus has shifted back to the city, with the lakefront now being their primary target for a new home. This comes after tax negotiations hit a $100 million impasse.

In other sports news, there’s buzz around Chicago potentially hosting a future Formula 1 race. This speculation has been fueled by recent trademark applications filed by Formula One Licensing BV, which include variations of the name "Chicago Grand Prix". While this doesn’t guarantee a race in Chicago, it does indicate that Formula 1 is interested in exploring new venues. This comes after the success of NASCAR’s first-ever street race in Chicago last summer
