Child Abuse Going Unreported During Stay-At-Home Order

Calls to the Illinois Child Abuse Hotline have declined by about half since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. But advocates say child abuse is not decreasing, rather mandatory reporters like teachers and school counselors, aren’t interacting with children as much.
