Today, we will be talking about stories published by or in cooperation with the Invisible Institute—a non-profit news organization based on the South Side of Chicago.

“Missing in Chicago” is the name of a years-long investigation into hundreds of thousands of missing persons cases in the city. It's a problem that disproportionately affects Black Chicagoans, and in particular, Black women and girls. Last month, the reporters behind the investigation were honored with the Pulitzer Prize for Local Reporting.

Both reporters from the Invisible Institute and City Bureau join us on the 21st. They'll talk about what inspired them to investigate this issue, how they did it and what they learned from the experience.

GUESTS:

Trina Reynolds-Tyler

Data Director, Invisible Institute

Sarah Conway

Senior Reporter and Special Projects Manager, City Bureau
