Combining Quantum Science with theater

University of Illinois physics professor Smitha Vishveshwara aims to teach Quantum Science through a theater project. Heather Coit /Grainger College of Engineering
Next year will be the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. That’s the study of how matter and light behave at incredibly small scale — at the level of atomic and subatomic particles. As a field, Quantum Science is only about a century old, but its discoveries have enabled modern technology like lasers, GPS, and semiconductors.
A U of I researcher who is helping people understand the science through theater shares more about her work on the program.
