Conservation of oak trees in Mesoamerica: Why is it necessary?

A new study out of Illinois’ Morton Arboretum says there’s an urgent need to conserve oak trees in Mesoamerica- a region that spans from the U.S.-Mexico border south to Panama. 

The authors of the study join the 21st to talk about the significance of these trees in the region and what solutions can be implemented to protect them.
