Nineteen children and two adults were killed in a shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas on May 24, 2022. This shooting comes only 10 days after a mass shooting by a white supremacist that killed 10 Black people in Buffalo, New York. There have been 212 mass shootings just this year in the U.S., according to the Gun Violence Archive.

The 21st was joined by a licensed clinical psychologist to learn more about processing trauma that can come up when events like these take place.
