COVID-19 Reporter Roundtable

Over the weekend Illinois’ confirmed coronavirus cases surged past 11 thousand cases. To help prepare for the growing number of cases, Governor JB Pritzker has added more health suggestions.

In Pritzker’s daily COVID briefing on Saturday afternoon, he said most people are doing the right thing by staying home but not everyone is listening.

In the past few days, Pritzker has encouraged Illinois residents to wear mask when out in public and proceeded to lead by example Sunday afternoon.

On Friday, Pritzker announced that the former Vibra Hospital in Springfield would become one of Illinois’ “field hospitals,” for non-critical cases joining four others in the state.
