Election 2020 Recap
One of the big questions on the ballot Tuesday night was the graduated income tax constitutional amendment. That appears to have failed — supporters conceded this morning. In central Illinois’ 13th Congressional District, which got a lot of national attention and money, incumbent Republican Rep. Rodney Davis fended off a second challenge from Democrat Betsy Dirksen Londrigan. She came within a point of defeating him two years ago, and while some mail-in ballots could affect the final tallies in the weeks ahead, Davis has a decisive, 10-point lead.
