Flu In The Time of COVID

The flu virus kills tens of thousands of Americans annually, and sidelines thousands more. But this year, the flu is converging with a global pandemic caused by a much deadlier virus — COVID-19. So what do we know, and what should we be doing to protect ourselves from this potential “twindemic”?

The 21st was joined by an assistant professor of microbiology at the University of Illinois who studies infectious diseases and a pediatrician with Memorial Physician Services in Springfield to help answer this question.
