On December 3, 1818 Illinois became the 21st united state of America. That is part of the reason our show is called ‘The 21st.' To commemorate two centuries and two years of Illinois Statehood, The 21st Show is joined by a former reporter and public affairs consultant, and now works as a college administrator in Chicago to talk more about some small Illinois towns with big names. Laurent Pernot is author of There and Here: Small Illinois Towns With Big Names.
