High Holy Days in a Pandemic

Tomorrow, September 18, 2020, is the Jewish celebration of Rosh Hashanah, or the Jewish New Year. The High Holy Days in the fall typically bring more members of the faith to their synagogue than any other time of year.  But because of the pandemic, the traditional blowing of the Shofar will be virtual in many cases.

The 21st spoke to two Illinois Rabbis about adapting their holiday season to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guests:

Rabbi Ari Naveh, Senior Jewish Educator, Cohen Center for Jewish Life (Illini Hillel)

Rabbi Binah Wing , Temple Beth-El, Rockford, Illinois
