Housing Issues Compounded by COVID-19 Pandemic

Nearly 30 percent of homeowners in Illinois are considered “cost-burdened,” which means they’re spending a large portion of their income on mortgage payments, property taxes, utilities, and other housing costs. Now, during a pandemic, homeowners and renters are struggling even more.
