Nearly 30 percent of homeowners in Illinois are considered “cost-burdened,” which means they’re spending a large portion of their income on mortgage payments, property taxes, utilities, and other housing costs. Now, during a pandemic, homeowners and renters are struggling even more.

Our guests discuss what issues they’re seeing when it comes to housing and some of the resources that might be available to help.

Guests:

  • Bob Palmer, policy director with Housing Action Illinois
  • Danielle Chynoweth, Cunnigham Township supervisor
