According to the Pew Research Center, as of 2021, 62.5 million people identify as either Hispanic or Latino in the U.S. They make up 19% of the entire population.

But even with the growing population, if there is one thing that both the Republican and Democrat parties can agree on, it’s that there are not enough Hispanic and Latino voters going to the polls. This was even brought up Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Two experts including an associate professor and a Latino GOP consultant join the 21st today to discuss what issues concern voters from this community, how they vote, and how both parties can better appeal to them.
