How does Nippon acquisition of U.S. Steel impact Illinois steel workers?

Tristen Rouse/St. Louis Public Radio
Steel workers in Granite City, Illinois have at least a two-year reprieve from major changes at the plant, but what exactly that means is an open question. This all comes after Japan’s Nippon Steel finally succeeded in acquiring U.S. Steel last month, including Granite City Works.
The deal has some unusual provisions — including giving the president of the United States a veto over certain changes at the company. Two union leaders as well a foreign investment expert join the program to discuss what Nippon’s ownership of U.S. Steel means for over 900 steel workers in Granite City.
