Illinois News Roundup - April 12, 2024

It's time for our Friday Reporter Roundtable, today we'll focus on Bloomington-Normal and Champaign-Urbana.

To start things off in the Champaign area, we'll cover the continued mourning of a local leader, William Patterson, and the celebration of his life that is occuring this Sunday. Then, discussions on the chaos going on in the Champaign School District, and Urbana's recent police department evaluation.

After, we'll cover Normal's recent settlement of a wrongful murder conviction, and ISU's Athletics Department internal audit following last year's controversy. We'll close things off with a history lesson in auto-manufacturing in the area.
