The Springfield Police Department released its 2023 crime statistics, indicating a 7% increase in Group A offenses, which include more serious crimes. These changes are attributed to multiple factors, including the No Cash Bond/Pre-Trial Fairness Act and an uptick in juvenile-related offenses.
