Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) went from being the No. 2 person in the minority party, to the No. 2 in the majority. He’s also set to be chairman of the Judiciary Committee, which reviews legislation having to do with criminal justice, and presidential appointees to be judges and federal prosecutors.
The 21st spoke with Sen. Durbin about what politics is meant for, top priorities for the Democratic party and power sharing with Republicans.
Guest:
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Illinois), Chairman, Senate Judiciary Committee
