Judy Woodruff is an institution in American broadcasting. She is currently the anchor and managing editor of the PBS NewsHour, but her career spans more than five decades. Our host, Brian Mackey, spoke with Woodruff on March 30, 2022 for a special virtual event, marking the 100th anniversary of our home station — WILL-AM 580, which is part of Illinois Public Media. Woodruff talked about her early career, what makes the PBS NewsHour unique in television news, and more. Plus, she answered questions from listeners and journalism students.
