Kofi Bazzell-Smith’s path towards becoming the first manga art professor

Kofi Bazzell-Smith's childhood fascination with manga ultimately led him to Japan. He studied and learned not just the practice, but also the language of Japanese. He plans on becoming the first professor and black man in the United States to teach students how to draw manga.

To see his work, his latest and final exhibit at Krannert Art Museum opens on Saturday, April 6th, and will be able to view until April 20th.
