Yolanda Alonso moved to the Bloomington-Normal area with her husband and daughter in 2019 after spending years as a newspaper reporter in Mexico and the United States. She started Latinos en BloNo to share perspectives of Latino people. Her interviews are now the subject of an exhibit at Illinois Art Station in Normal called We Are the Latinos en BloNo: Nuestras historias en palabras y fotografías … Our Stories in Words & Photographs. It’s open through November 4.
