New investigation shows Illinois hospitals fail to uphold sexual assault victim rights

Illinois is supposed to have the strongest laws in the nation, in terms of what hospitals need to do when a sexual assault victim comes in seeking help. Those laws require licensed hospitals to provide transfer services or medical forensic services. But a new investigation shows several hospitals routinely skirt the law.
