Two women in Peoria have taken the idea of “going out for a walk” to a whole new level. Two childhood friends from Peoria set out in November of 2019 to traverse all 1,639 streets in Peoria. Over the course of the last 23 months, they completed their goal of walking every street in their home city, all 1,247 miles, through a pandemic. The “Pedestrians in Peoria,” as they’ve called themselves, finished their journey last Wednesday, and they joined us today to talk about it.
