Politics Roundup: The former most powerful man in Illinois politics goes on trial

Michael Madigan, who was once the most powerful person in state politics, is finally facing a trial for corruption charges. The indictment against the longtime Speaker of the Illinois House came down more than two years ago. And in the meantime, several people in Madigan's closest circles have either been convicted or pleaded guilty. Jury selection in the case against Madigan and Springfield lobbyist Mike McClain started this week.
