Vaccines Offer Hope to Handicapped Development Center

Handicapped Development Center

Social distancing and the closure of non-essential businesses last March was especially difficult for those living with an intellectual disability where the importance of a set routine is important to their growth and development of vocational, personal skills and mental health. The Handicapped Development Center in the Quad Cities offers services that help those with disabilities learn these skills, but the center has faced many challenges over the past year. The COVID-19 vaccines have offered the center hope and relief for both its participants and staff as more of the country continues to get vaccinated.

Guest:

Jeff Ashcraft, President and CEO of Handicapped Development Center in Davenport, Iowa
