Quadball is a mixed gender contact sport that combines rugby, dodgeball and tag. And the number of teams in Illinois is growing. It is inspired by quidditch, which was featured in the Harry Potter books series. Quadball was created in 2005 and is played in nearly 40 countries around the world. The Rantoul Family Sports Complex will soon host the national qualifier, featuring 18 college and adult club quadball teams.
