Kelly Bell Photography
As of July 27, 2020, Illinois reports 171,424 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 7,398 people have died in the state. Case counts have been going up, but the state is still doing relatively better than other locations. Meanwhile, protests against police violence and against President Donald J. Trump continue in Chicago. And we continue exploring the implications of ComEd’s deferred prosecution agreement, and what it means for Illinois’ longest serving state legislator.
The 21st speaks to reporters from across the state to get the latest updates.
