Safety, shortage of workers, and misinformation: Why has administering elections become so challenging?
The U.S. presidential election is now 42 days away and early voting begins this week in Illinois and many other places.
However, election workers are battling misinformation and disinformation, staff turnover, and increased threats. A panel of experts including election officials join the 21st today to discuss some of the challenges election workers are facing locally and across the country in terms of election security and integrity.
