Sahara Dust Comes To Illinois

A cloud of dust from the Sahara Desert is set to reach the Gulf Coast of the U.S. today. This is actually the second wave of dust, the first massive cloud of sand particles made its 5,000-mile journey across the Atlantic to North America over the weekend. This phenomenon happens every year, but the Saharan dust cloud last week was actually the worst in decades.

The 21st speaks to a Champaign-Urbana based meteorologist to tell us more about the dust cloud.
