Senator Dick Durbin weighs in on Trump cabinet nominees, judicial nominee confirmations
Senator Dick Durbin., a Democrat from Springfield, has two years left on his fifth term in the Senate. Last month, he turned 80 years old. Durbin is the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and is the majority whip — the number two behind Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer.
Of course, all that changes in less than a month. When new senators are sworn in next year, Republicans are retaking control of the Senate, and Durbin’s Democratic Party will be out of power. He joins the program to give his thoughts on the Democrats’ return to the minority in the Senate, President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet picks, and current President Joe Biden's judicial nominees.
