Should hemp growers have to abide by the same regulations as cannabis producers?
People in both the hemp and cannabis industries would like to see intoxicating hemp products regulated. The disagreement comes in how they'd be regulated.
One proposal in Springfield would basically put them into the same framework as cannabis products- limiting sales to dispensaries, and adding age restrictions, labeling, and testing requirements. On the other hand, advocates for hemp worry moving it under the umbrella of cannabis regulation would devastate the industry. They're calling for a more modest regulatory framework.
Experts involved in both the cannabis and hemp industries weigh in.
