Weekly Politics Roundtable - July 21, 2023

On the politics roundtable, we hear an update about Sen. Dick Durbin's (D-IL) push to pass a law enforcing a code of ethics for the Supreme Court of the United States. The Senate also made 51 amendments to the House defense bill. We focus on the Illinois Supreme Court’s decision on ending cash bail, and a judge's ruling on the state’s firearm owners identification card. Lastly, we dive into the state’s new pension proposal plan and activist push for anti-domestic violence, which was sparked by the murder of a Springfield woman, Emma Shaffer.
