Illinois is now in Phase 4 of easing restrictions around the coronavirus pandemic. Restaurant patrons are braving eating indoors, and even water parks and other types of recreational facilities are open, albeit at reduced capacities.

Plus, a workplace shooting in Springfield late last week has left three victims dead. We’ll talk about all that and more in our Monday reporters’ roundtable.

Then, the so-called “peculiar institution” of slavery in America is often thought of as something that only existed in the south. But in fact there were thousands of enslaved people right here in the Land of Lincoln.
