The 21st Show

The 21st—Thursday, April 2, 2020

Advocates have been warning about the risks of Coronavirus disease spreading in state prisons, now dozens of inmates and staff are sick at Stateville Correctional Center near Joliet. We heard from two men inside.

We also heard from parents who are adjusting to having their kids learning at home, and talk about some of the mental health challenges that come along with that.

And with many of us having the luxury, or curse, of more free time at home, some people are taking up “quarantine projects.” We heard from an Illinois baker who launched her career while staying at home with her son.
