The costly but rewarding hobby of collecting toys
According to the NPD Group, a market research firm, a quarter of all toy sales go to people 12 and older. That's the biggest driver of growth in the toy industry today, accounting for $9 billion in sales. And it's prompted many toy companies like Lego and Mattel to create specific lines catering to adults.
